Good Vibes at the Induction

September 8th, 2023 - The Rotary Club of Pago Pago inducted three new members at its last evening social event. The gathering was held at the Good Vibes restaurant in Tafuna where a brief ceremony was held before a long night of fellowship.

Area Governor Frank Barron sponsored two new members into the club; Gun Chul Kang and Michael Spadafino. Gun works with Starkist Samoa and Michael serves with the U.S. Coast Guard.

Tofaeono Dr. Victor Williams, 85, was also inducted as an Honorary Rotarian. He is a long time supporter of the Rotary Club of Pago Pago and enjoys telling the story of his first encounters with a Rotarian when he was a grade school student nearly 70 years ago. He shared details in a presentation to the club earlier this year.

Tofaeono thanked the group upon receiving his certificate of membership and name badge, "Thank all of you Rotarians for the honor you have given me tonight. Please continue the work that you do. I'm proud of you and all of your work."
