American Samoa Interactors Bound for New Zealand

March 9th, 2025 - Five American Samoa Interact students are preparing for the 9920 Interact District Conference and Rotary Youth Program of Enrichment (RYPEN) camp. These events will be held in Auckland, New Zealand on March 15th and March 21st - 25th repectively.

The 5 chosen applicants who will represent the Interact Clubs of American Samoa are:

• Mr. Zakary Young - Pacific Horizon Interact (not pictured)

• Miss Lisa Pedro - Pacific Horizon Interact

• Miss Grace Keil Vai - Pacific Horizon Interact

• Miss Faith Ponausuia - Manumalo Interact

• Miss Ramona Apa - Manumalo Interact

Rotary Club of Pago Pago Youth Services Chair Natalia Palamo along with a small contingent of Rotarians will accompany the Interactors for the activities.

The Interactors will be joining Interactors across New Zealand in a week long youth leadership camp at the Kokako Lodge.

Kokako Lodge will be the host site for the RYPEN camp.

The Rotary Youth Program of Enrichment (RYPEN) is a Youth Leadership for Year 11 and Year 12 students, designed at developing young people’s potential through a mixture of lecture style sessions and adventure-based learning.
