A Very Fast Round with a Visiting Rotarian

July 20, 2023 - What's more beautiful? American Samoa's golf course or Frank Barron's backswing? A visiting Rotarian makes the call.

For the last two weeks, Rotarian Dr. Cam Little has been providing free dental care in American Samoa. Cam is in the territory as part of the Mission Minded Worldwide team. On his final day before returning home, he connected with Rotary Club of Pago Pago members for a quick round of golf at the Ili'ili golf course.

Rotary Area Governor Frank Barron and Richard "Q" Quintana hosted Cam on the golf course. Cam was able to complete 13 holes before time came for him to pack and check in for his flight to Honolulu.

Dr. Little retired from the National Guard in 2021 at the rank of Colonel. He lives in Corvallis, Oregon where he has his own dentistry practice. He regularly performs mission work all over the world. While in American Samoa, he participated in a free vision, dental and medical clinic organized by Mission Minded Worldwide and the Lions Club of Pago Pago. His home club is the Rotary Club of Greater Corvallis.

RCPP's Joey Cummings interviewed Cam about his time on the course.

"What's more beautiful," asked Joey, "The lush greens of American Samoa's golf course... or Frank's backswing?"

"I think everyone knows how sweet Frank's backswing is," Cam replied thoughtfully, "but I have to give it to the golf course this time. Thanks to my fellow Rotarians for the fellowship."
